Reiki

Reiki (ray-key) is a Japanese word which means "Universal Life Energy". Reiki is ancient re-discovered form of stress reduction that also promotes healing. The practice of Reiki dates back over 2500 years ago to Tibet. Practitioners channel energy in a particular pattern to aid in healing and harmonizing.

Reiki helps enhance the natural healing process of the body, relieves stress, promotes deep relaxation, helps to relieve pain, aid concentration, boost the immune system, increase joint mobility, and help the body detox.

Reiki is an holistic therapy, it recognises the interconnection and interplay between mind, body and soul. It is very gentle and non-intrusive.

Reiki is not of any religion, creed or doctrine and the recipient does not need any preparation for the treatment other than the desire to get better.

 

Reiki Principles:

  • Just for today I will give thanks for my many blessings
  • Just for today I will not worry
  • Just for today I will not be angry
  • Just for today I will do my work honestly
  • Just for today I will be kind to my neighbour and every living thing.
